Rain, rain, go away...

This week, that is, Wed. - Sat. would be a great week to have the yard sale BUT we need Mon.-Sat. to be good weather so we can set up on Mon. and Tues. So... we hope that the week starting the 19th will be good weather to have the yard sale. Our storage places are bursting at the seams and Ron can hardly walk around in his house because it is sooooooo full of furniture. These pictures are of a few pieces that we decided to fix up but leave them in their original finish because they were so pretty that way. Bench - $80.00.-Sold, Chair - $70.00, Little book case - $30.00. Child's rocking chair (has a crank in back you turn to make it go higher) - $50.00. Spring Yard Sale Just Around the Corner

Our Spring Yard Sale is just around the corner. We are planning on having it the 3rd or 4th week of April. We just have to wait and see what the weather is going to do and then I will send out emails and post it on the blog. Right now we have around 230 pieces of furniture and we are still working hard to finish more. This hutch I just finished and am having a hard time finding a place to store it so if anyone is interested it is an Ethan Allan Corner Hutch and it measures 67 1/4 from the inside corner out and 75 1/4 from the inside corner of the other side. The sides can be switched around the other way too. It is actually 6 pieces. $450.00 - sold

Looking forward to Spring...

Winter just makes everything we do a little harder, so we are looking forward to spring. We have been busy getting ready for our spring sale. These 2 finished pieces are a sample of pieces we will have. (I just happened to have the camera handy before we put these in storage and decided to take a couple of pictures). My son said, "She won't want that. It's a piece of junk." My husband said, "Yes. she will!"

Guess who was right. It's amazing what a little cleaning, fixing, and painting will do. This piece had so much dirt on it and needed some repairs but it turned out a very nice piece of furniture. It's old but very solid and sturdy. Measures 42 1/2 wide 19 deep 22 tall. $85.00 - sold

HAPPY NEW YEAR

We are a little slow on wishing everyone a happy new year but hope the year has been great so far for all of you. We won't be posting much because we are trying to get ready for our spring sale. Everything takes a little longer to complete in the winter. Paint just doesn't dry as fast and it's a little cold to do much spraying. But don't forget to check back because we will post a few things.
