Just can't paint these

Sometimes I get some furniture pieces that, for some reason, I just can't paint them.  Don't know why, I guess it's because they are so pretty the way they are... so I just shine them up and do whatever they need to bring out their beauty.  I've done this a few times and think, "well if they don't sell I can always paint them later, so that is what I'm doing with these pieces.
